our history

Airplay has been established for over 25 years providing a full range of creative communication services and products. 

In our formative years we were famous for launching and running Radio Top Shop, the first-ever in-store radio station provided to fashion UK chains Top Shop and Top Man. We also built a great reputation for creating innovative, customised music programmes for many of the UK's leading high street retailers.

In response to the needs of our clients, we went on to deliver store opening events, fashion shows and promotions which, over time, led us to offer the comprehensive event solutions we provide today. We were the first company to launch in-store television, constructing Europe's largest video wall system at Top Shop in Oxford Circus, London. We led the way with dynamic in-store programming and advertising before expanding this to national radio and television campaigns.

During this journey, through all of our highs and lows, a whole variety of people have been pushed to develop and fine tune their skills within our dynamic business. Some former employees have gone on to run their own businesses, with others moving successfully into broadcast radio and television. However, what has remained throughout is a business with a unique history and a personality and style that others simply fail to replicate.
